Change Management

A response recommendation analysis of how large firms and small firms could utilize change management concepts to meet growing technology demands would be, considered vital to both employees and customers. The reasons that change management is vital to both large and small firms are because of the technology demands of today, and of the future. We are reaching the peak of our economy; although, it has been said that, “our economy is in a slump”; however, I think differently, and we have to “go with the flow” so to speak. Proactively, for both large and small firms, incorporating a change management project, or plan can both save increase capital, stimulate productivity. Reactively, in some circumstances, both large and small firm’s revenue will collapse, if, continued without planned management, in my personal opinion.

The necessary changes for both large firm, would be to implement a change management program, or project; in which, will be effective for a minimum of five to ten years with inserts for revision if it be necessary. Note – to be effective, some of the changes that large firms undergo, small firms must consider themselves to become more than merely a small business, every business (small or large) must be subject to change within today’s society.

The change management program, or plan(s) should include what I call ADCEW; advantages, disadvantages, could happens, effects; and what to do now. This is a plan that I use within many business strategies that I take on as an entrepreneur. This particular plan will help to reduce possible pitfalls caused by change. The possible pitfalls due to change in which, should be, avoided when developing a change management program, plan, or project include:

  • Never think your original plan is 100% efficient, because there is always room for improvement, and we will never truly know what tomorrow brings.
  • Always have a back up plan to take affect immediately after a crisis arises to allow the flow of business to be continuous.
  • Know all possible outcomes for disaster in order to make your counter move, check and mate.
