What are other ways in which you can make use of the wealth of Web-based information and still guard against plagiarism?

Web-based information is extremely informative for everything that the web is used for. However, one must know what to use and what not to use on the web. When I perform researches on the web, I look for certain information within my search. If the site looks cheesy, 9 times out of 10, I am not going to use the information. On the other hand, if I come across a site that looks professionally built, this will be one of the sites that I will obtain my information. When I read the information on the site, I basically browse the site; looking for key phrases and main points within the content. Then I move on to the next site for more information. I continue to do so until I have found a sufficient amount of information that I can use to form my on topic, presentation or project.
Depending on what I am researching and who it is for; determines what information I will be using for my project. The steps that I take for performing my research to avoid plagiarism is: First, I research the information; Next, I brainstorm my ideas to fit the content. Then I form my project for presentation by putting it in the way that I interpret the information and finally, I revise and complete my project. That way, I have all the information needed for my research without plagiarizing any one’s work.
There are many issues that may arise about plagiarism, however all great thinkers think alike (agree or disagree). For every one person that wanted to invent a way to communicate, there was one that said that they can do it better. Since the beginning of time, people have been inventing; wanting to make things better for themselves as well as for others. This is how technology came about. This is also why there are businesses that sell the same products or provide the same services. Getting ideas from one another, with hopes of providing something better is not plagiarism.
Writers for instance; some may have to get their ideas from others to provide a master piece and others, are truly naturalist-having natural talent. How do you feel about the online universities? It had to start from some where; some one’s idea. Now, there are chains of online universities over the internet; with different courses and different ways of conducting performances between the students and the professors.
Basically, getting ideas from others, would definitely avoid plagiarism as long as one’s original work is not used.
