The Skill That Everyone Should Possess

The skill that I believe that everyone should possess is the ability to perform research. By possessing the ability to perform research; one will have substantial knowledge of the things that one needs to know in order to maneuver within this world of opportunities. The importance of researching is the organization of studies to discover facts and to develop a plan of action towards the unknown. People would benefit a great deal, if they knew the importance of researching. People are getting scammed, deceived and cheated out of money on a daily basis, from the lack of the ability to perform researches (validating information that is given). How can I prove that ability to perform research is an effective skill that everyone should have?

In a recent study that I performed with my husband and myself; we both decided to sign up for an online school to go back to college. Doing so, I have decided to research all schools of interest using the search term “Associates Degree in Psychology.” My husband on the other hand, signed up for a particular college without performing any research. The results of our attempt to continue our education through online learning; my results put me here in the University of Phoenix, with the availability for Financial Aid and student loans. My husband on the other hand, is still not in college because he is waiting on the books that he was suppose to receive, but never did. He had to send in a payment to start school, however, bill collectors are sending us bill balances that are due immediately. Had my husband performed the necessary research to obtain information about the school that he wanted to attend, he would have known not to sign up for the school because it was not accredited and it was a rip-off.

Researching should be a necessity that everyone should have because, without it, we stand the chance of being paralyzed to what is going on around us. In the scenario with the online school environment and researching; one will be able to research the credibility of the schools of there interest, not having the ability to perform the said researches; one will be subject to becoming scammed, deceived and cheated out of money.

We need to be mindful of the purchases that we make, who we choose to get involved with, and pretty much of everything that we do; whether person-to-person, on the telephone, by mail and over the internet.  How things are going on now in this world that we live in; we should be prepared for any situations that may occur. We can not afford to loose any money, have bad credit, or waste time and energy by not possessing the ability to perform researches. It will hurt us in the long run if we are not ready for what society is throwing at us.

The price of living is increasing and there is a high demand for marketers to promote products and services. The high demand will not only promote products and services for their consumers; they are also allowing devious people to promote scam and duplication of others work and or materials, which will be the result of not possessing the ability to perform researches.

We need to be aware of these types of resources that are made available to us. Looking at one of the bigger ones that people often get scammed with is the Publishing Clearing House. We receive emails on a daily basis that reflects back to Publisher Clearing House. The horrible thing is that when you click onto these emails that say the Publishing Clearing House, we are not aware that they send us to bogus web sites set up as if they are the actual Publishing Clearing House. Most of the links takes you to an affiliate or either a partner’s site, for you to purchase something from the affiliates or partners in exchange to possible be entered into the drawings to enter the sweepstakes from the Publishing Clearing House. Having the ability to perform the research needed, would have allow one to know that most of the emails that we receive from the Publishing Clearing House is fraud, phony, fake and is a scam. People are just so eager to think that they have come across a few sweet deals. But in reality, we are being scammed and we are also subjecting our self for loss without the abilities to perform researches.
