Options for Presenting Information to an Audience

Posted by Bisopz E-Corporations-Mrs. Thiesha D. Jones-Frazier on July 5, 2008

The options that are available for presenting information to an audience are: the PowerPoint and Oral Presentations, formal and informal reports, and flyers and brochures; according to our week seven reading; Effective Presentations-Types of Presentations.

Incorporating Your Options

Incorporating PowerPoint, formal and informal reports, flyers and brochures into oral presentations produces an overall effective presentation. Each of the options available for presenting, is and can be effective, depending on the way that they are used.

Using Available Options

Using PowerPoint within oral presentations, allow the speaker to deliver a more powerful and comprehensible message of the purpose relating to the content from the speaker; coinciding with both verbal (public speaking) and visual (illustration/design) communications.

Formal and Informal Reports aids by showing evidence, logic and references of the content; allowing a more direct way of getting the purpose or message heard. Memos, agendas, and emails are some examples of formal and informal reports.

Flyers and brochures give strategic information, enhancing or adding to the presentation itself by allowing the audience more information or something to consider while leaving a presentation.

The Most Effective Tactic

In corroboration to the various options for effective presentations, utilizing all options is effective in presenting information to an audience. The method that I consider to be the most effective is the ability to incorporate all of the available options into an oral presentation.
