Examples of Long Term Goals

Obtain my PhD in Psychology

 

1.      Complete my Associates Degree

1.1.   Within two years

 

I need this goal completed in order to begin training in my Psychology field and to obtain my Bachelors Degree. Once I have my Associates Degree in Psychology, I will seek employment at my children’s school as a counselor or a counselor in training, to have the necessary experience needed once I have obtained my PhD, in order to start my own practice. I also plan to do volunteer work at the Georgia Regional Hospital for extra training and hands on experience.

 

2.      Complete my Bachelors Degree

2.1.   Within four years

 

I need this goal completed in order to acquire extra training, make more money and to move on to getting my Masters Degree. Once I have my Bachelors Degree in Psychology, I will then change jobs from my children’s school to one of the local hospitals to have the necessary clinical experience needed to start my own practice once I have gotten my PhD. I will continue to volunteer work at Georgia Regional Hospital. In which, by the time that I have my Bachelors Degree; I will have about four years of the necessary experience needed for credentials within my field of studies.

 

3.      Complete my Masters Degree

3.1.   Within six years

 

I need this goal completed to make more money, enhance my skills and training and move on to getting my PhD. Once I have my Masters Degree, I will leave the hospital to seek employment at the Department of Family and Children Services to obtain hands on experience working with groups (single women and men, mothers and children). I will continue to working at Georgia Regional Hospital and by the time that I complete my Masters Degree, I will have about six years of experience working with the mentally challenged.

 

4.      Complete my PhD

4.1.   Within eight years

 

I need this goal completed to make more money, have the extra skills and training needed to start my own practice. Once I have completed my PhD, I will have the necessary skills, training and experience needed to obtain my license to practice Psychology in the state of Georgia. I will then open Bisopz Psychology here in Savannah, Georgia, working with women and men, single parents and children.

 

 

Start up Bisopz E-Testimonies

 

1.      Write Business Plan

1.1.   Complete by end of the school’s first quarter

 

I need to complete this goal in order to start my own non-profit organization, Bisopz E-Testimonies world wide. Once I have completed my business plan for Bisopz E-Testimonies, I will have a clear idea of my business purpose. I will also use my business plan to submit it to financial institutes, government agencies for financing my non-profit organization.

 

2.      Get License

2.1.   Complete by July 15, 2008

 

I need to complete this goal in order to become certified in the state of Georgia to own and operate my business. Once I have gotten my business license, I will use it to open a business checking account for my non-profit organization, branding and credentials.

 

3.      Brand my business

3.1.   Complete by October, 2008

 

I need this goal completed in order to have a professional image to the world. Once I brand my business, I can begin to create logos, brochures, banners and signs and cable and local newspaper advertisement. I have also decided that by branding my business, it will show sign of professionalism

 

4.      Open business checking account

4.1.   Open in October, 2008

 

I need this goal completed in order to receive and make payouts through out the activities of my business.

 

5.      Create web site

5.1.   Complete by November, 2008

 

I need this goal completed in order to reach everyone world wide to support my cause. By creating a web site, I will be able to be visible to the world; world wide.

 

6.      Advertise business

6.1.   Complete by November, 2008

I need this goal completed in order to reach the people that frequently watch television instead of using the Internet.
